The professionalism and kindness of the staff.
Their willingness to provide assistance and accommodate our wishes. They were very understanding and appreciated the kind of funeral we wanted to have.
Turnbull have been assisting me and my family for a long time.
I knew I could trust Turnbull Funerals to look after me when my mum passed away. Scott was amazing, thoughtful and considerate.
Supporting families across Hobart and surrounds.
Our team is available 24/7 to guide you through what’s next.
How long have you been a funeral arranger?
10 years in October. 3 years in Sydney, NSW. 7 in Hobart, Tasmania.
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
No 2 funerals are the same. Every family you meet, every service arranged, every interaction during the organising is an opprtunity to learn something. There can be 400 people in attendance, or 4. There can be a Symphony Orchestra or a karaoke machine. A huge casket with end to end roses, or a simple coffin with garden flowers. Our chapel, a church, stadium, or graveside. Many many tears, or many many laughs. Sometimes both.
What makes your brand special?
We have the unique privilege of being able to care for families from the time a loved on passes away until the day of committal, and beyond. All Funeral Directorshave the opportunity to be on call, personally bringing a loved one into care, meeting the family to make the arrngements, providing mortuary care, designing and publishing booklets, editing photos, making photo montages, arranging catering, flowers, matching them with a celebrant, downloading music, assisting in personalisation of, and conducting the service.
What inspired you to work in funeral planning?
Previous employment in Fire and Rescue NSW, and also as a Patient Transport Officer for NSW Ambulance. I got to see a side of life I hadn't before, and thought I had the skills to take that into assisting families through a stressful and sad time.
